两名美国官员表示，“布什”号航空母舰已于当日部署，计划与三艘驱逐舰一同前往中东。该航母打击群由6000多名水兵组成。
另据两名匿名美国官员称，美军第82空降师的数千名士兵也已陆续抵达中东。（央视新闻）
