3月24日，西安至十堰高速铁路湖北段正式启动联调联试，为全线开通运营奠定坚实基础。西十高铁西起陕西西安，穿越秦岭山脉，终点为湖北十堰，正线全长256.938公里，设计时速350公里。建成通车后，西安至十堰可实现1小时内到达。
