造成一家12口人罹难的广东汕头“12·9”经营性自建房火灾，事故具体原因虽还在进一步调查处理之中，但直接原因是店主使用蚊香不慎引发。
国家消防救援局提醒，自建房一旦投入经营，必须合法合规，符合消防安全条件，包括要做到物理分隔、拆除防盗网，安装喷淋和一键报警系统等。
