3月16日，小米创办人、董事长兼CEO雷军通过微博发布视频称，如果回到5年前的话，还是会选择造车。雷军表示，5年前造车，所有人都说造车很难，做了大量调研，发现造车确实不容易，所以做了很充分的准备，初期造下来比想象中简单一点，但是随着造车进度（加快），觉得越来越难，越来越不容易。
