KINCANG Egrets Waves Residence is located in Keqiao, Shaoxing, with master planning and architectural design by LYCS Architecture. The overall architectural language adopts fluid, streamlined forms, creating structures that are graceful, lightweight, and transparent. The project aims to set a new benchmark for high-end, modern living in the region.

自然浸润，由外向内

From Outside In: Immersion in Nature

项目择址于绍兴著名的鉴湖与会稽山之间，用地分南北两个地块，三面环水，形如半岛卧于自然怀抱之中。绝佳的自然环境让正值疫情期间对自然心生向往的设计团队不禁感叹：“好一块天然栖居之地！”

The project is situated between Shaoxing's renowned Jianhu Lake and Kuaiji Mountain, with the site divided into two parcels: northern and southern. Surrounded by water on three sides, the land lies like a serene peninsula nestled in nature. Amid the pandemic, when the longing for nature was especially profound, the design team was moved to exclaim, "This is a truly ideal place for living in harmony with the natural world."

项目总体规划以最大化利用自然资源为核心，四层低密产品临水而布，错落有致地展开于河岸之上，形成滨水组团；七至八层产品环绕滨水组团，沿城市道路呈L型排布，与低密产品一道共享水景。

The master plan centers on maximizing the site's natural resources. Four-story low-density residences are arranged along the waterfront in a staggered layout, forming a series of riverside clusters. Surrounding these are seven- to eight-story buildings organized in L-shaped bands along the urban roads. Together, the two typologies create a layered spatial composition that shares and amplifies the value of the waterfront views.

Through a soft and seamless approach, the design integrates the external natural water system with the internal living environment. Water and greenery weave through every layer—from the central landscape axis to the cluster gardens, from courtyard spaces between buildings to shared green areas—creating a rhythmic progression of dynamic and tranquil spaces that culminate in a rich, multidimensional landscape experience.

居家，度假

Home, as a Vacation

项目大胆的采用了少见的四层双拼最为低密度区域的主打产品，从而适应建筑密度 25%、容积率 1.4 的“高容积率”，打破了此类地块以洋房为主的产品范式。

The project boldly adopts an uncommon four-story duplex typology as the primary product in the low-density zone. This strategic move responds to the relatively high floor area ratio of 1.4 and a building coverage of 25%, effectively breaking away from the conventional low-rise apartment model typically found on similar plots.

在策划阶段，基于“改善大户型”的产品定位，设计团队在多种方案中进行了反复推敲与比选，包括全洋房、大量洋房搭配少量三层排屋、大量四层双拼配合少量叠排等组合。最终促使团队做出决策的关键考量是：希望尽可能多的住户能够拥有私密的入户空间，享有属于自己的“一方天地”。基于这一理念，“四层双拼 + 少量叠排”方案最终脱颖而出，成为项目的空间构型基础。

During the planning phase, guided by the positioning of the project as an “upgraded large-unit residence,” the design team explored and compared multiple configurations—ranging from all low-rise apartments to a mix of apartments with a small number of three-story townhouses to a composition dominated by four-story duplexes paired with a few stacked units. The decisive factor that shaped the final choice was the desire to provide as many residents as possible with private, independent entrances—creating their own “piece of the world” within the community. Based on this vision, the configuration of “four-story duplexes + a small number of stacked townhouses” ultimately stood out and became the foundation of the project's spatial structure.

四层双拼采用左右分户的入户方式，有效保障居住私密性。基于对自然生活的向往以及对人口结构变化的回应，首层设计为完全开放的公共起居空间，与庭院无缝衔接，营造出内外贯通的生活场景。卧室则设置于二至四层，充分满足多代同堂的居住私密性需求。电梯的配置亦充分考虑老年群体的使用便利，体现人性化的全龄关怀。

The four-story duplexes adopt a side-by-side entry configuration, ensuring a high degree of residential privacy. In response to both the growing desire for a nature-oriented lifestyle and the evolving family structure, the ground floor is designed as a fully open communal living space that seamlessly connects to the private courtyard—creating a fluid indoor-outdoor living experience. Bedrooms are arranged across the second to fourth floors, providing ample separation and privacy to accommodate multi-generational households. The inclusion of an in-unit elevator further reflects a thoughtful, age-inclusive design, offering convenience for elderly residents and reinforcing the project's commitment to human-centered living.

相较于洋房，双拼住宅带来了更大的建筑间距，每户拥有的花园与视野更开阔，起居空间与自然实现了真正的无缝融合。仿佛能预见未来的生活画面：庭院内，一场露营派对正在展开；有人整理花草，有孩童奔跑嬉戏，宠物自在穿梭……无须远行，亦能在家中度过一段放松而从容的美好时光。

Compared to typical low-rise apartments, the duplex residences offer significantly greater building spacing, allowing each household to enjoy larger private gardens and more expansive views. This spatial generosity enables a seamless integration between indoor living areas and the surrounding natural environment. One can easily envision scenes of everyday leisure: a backyard campsite coming to life, someone tending to flowers, children running freely, pets playfully darting through the garden—no need to travel far, as a relaxed and fulfilling vacation-like lifestyle can unfold right at home.

建筑立面延续了“烟波飞鹭”广受好评的轻盈通透设计风格，以全落地玻璃搭配简约银白铝板作为主基调，营造出现代、纯净的建筑气质。每一层均配备宽敞的贯通阳台，实现室内与室外空间的无界过渡。相较于传统住宅厚重的实体墙体，这种开放而通透的设计策略有效打破了城市中人与自然之间的隔阂，营造出更亲近自然的生活体验。

The building facade continues the widely praised lightweight and transparent design language of “Egrets Waves,” using full-height glazing paired with minimalist silver-white aluminum panels to establish a modern and refined architectural character. Each floor features spacious, through-depth balconies that enable a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Compared to the heavy, solid walls of traditional residential buildings, this open and transparent approach breaks down the barriers between people and nature within the urban context, fostering a lifestyle that feels closer to and more immersed in the natural environment.

Due to adjustments in product typology, the massing of Egrets Waves Residence is more compact compared to its predecessor, Egrets Waves. In response, the design team refined the façade system by reducing the size of the aluminum panel modules. This optimization yields a more refined, elegant, and rounded visual expression for the overall architecture.

建筑立面采用连续的白色铝板勾勒体块轮廓，贯穿不同组团与楼栋，形成统一而流畅的界面语言。铝板的延展性与纯净感不仅强化了建筑的线性节奏，也在视觉上织就出整体性的住区风貌，使整个社区在多样化产品形态中依然保持高度一致的设计气质与识别度。

The building facade features continuous white aluminum panels that outline the architectural volumes and extend seamlessly across different clusters and buildings, creating a unified and fluid visual language. The aluminum's smoothness and purity enhance the linear rhythm of the architecture while visually stitching together a cohesive residential identity. This approach ensures that, despite the diversity of product types within the community, the overall development maintains a strong sense of design consistency and recognizable character.

The infinity-edge pool seamlessly blends with the city skyline, its shimmering surface reflecting the pure white facade. This dramatic gesture takes the idea of “immersed in nature” to its fullest expression, offering a light, relaxed, and ritualistic resort-like lifestyle suspended above the city.

面对结构设计带来的诸多挑战，设计团队历经多轮方案推敲与比选，最终采用悬臂结构结合亚克力玻璃，以实现最大限度的通透视野。水面如镜，漂浮于空，置身其中仿若云端漫游。作为绍兴罕见的空中叠墅地标，Skypool的惊艳呈现不仅刷新了区域高端居住的想象边界，更为城市人居美学树立了全新的视觉封面。

Confronted with significant structural challenges, the design team went through multiple rounds of rigorous iteration before ultimately selecting a cantilevered structure paired with acrylic glazing to achieve maximum visual transparency. The result is a mirror-like water surface that appears to float in midair—offering an experience akin to drifting through the clouds. As one of the few elevated villa landmarks in Shaoxing, the striking presence of the Skypool redefines the boundaries of high-end residential living and establishes a bold new visual identity for the city’s urban dwelling aesthetics.
