有关PS6的各种猜测和说法已经流传了很久，而最近，前索尼全球工作室总裁肖恩·莱登在一档采访节目中透露了一些消息。
肖恩·莱登称：“索尼不会在PS6上实行100%数字化，索尼不会放弃光盘的。”
他还进一步补充说明了原因：“与Xbox仅在7个英语国家领先不同，PS在全球170个国家都是第一大游戏平台，索尼对那些没有通网的地区富有责任。”
