刚刚过去的周末，在新西兰北岛Mahanga Beach，有公众发现一具遗体被冲上岸。
Tuai村高级警员Tony Mault表示，2月14日（周六）下午约1点，一名公众在Mahanga Beach发现该遗体，并向当局报告。

他说：“来自Tairāwhiti的专业警员已赶赴现场，目前正式身份确认程序正在进行中。”
“鉴于具体情况，这项工作可能需要一些时间。”
Mault表示，未来几天将进行尸检，希望能为警方调查提供线索。Mahanga Beach位于Māhia半岛（Māhia Peninsula）北缘。
