已为一款创新型三舱超大型乙烷运输船(VLEC)设计授予原则性认可证书(AiP)。该设计由 Lloyd’s Register 联合 GTT - Technology for a Sustainable World、CMHI(招商局重工)、Deltamarin 及 Babcock LGE(Babcock 海事板块)通过联合开发项目(JDP)共同研发完成。
By adopting an optimized three-tank configuration—replacing the conventional four-tank arrangement—this concept aims to enhance overall insulation performance and reduce boil-off losses, while keeping the vessel’s principal dimensions unchanged. The design also strengthens operational flexibility, with cargo capability covering ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene and butane, and compatibility with LNG containment systems. With further hydrodynamic and propulsion optimization, the design speed reaches 17 knots and targets compliance with EEDI Phase III, while improving transport efficiency per voyage. Importantly, the concept is engineered to reduce system complexity, simplify construction, and improve total cost of ownership (TCO), supporting stronger long-term economics for owners.
该设计采用优化的三舱布局,替代传统四舱方案,在保持船舶主尺度不变的前提下,显著提升整体绝热性能并降低蒸发损耗。该船型具备更强的运营灵活性,可运输乙烷、乙烯、丙烷、丙烯及丁烷多种气体货物,且兼容液化天然气(LNG)围护系统。通过进一步的水动力学与推进系统优化,其设计航速达 17 节,目标满足能效设计指数第三阶段(EEDI Phase III)合规要求,同时提升单航次运输效率。值得关注的是,该设计旨在降低系统复杂度、简化建造流程并优化全生命周期成本(TCO),为船东构建更稳健的长期经济效益。
