July 3–4, 2026 | Thaiwoo Ski Resort, outskirt Beijing, China
Introduction
The Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development (ISSCAD) at Peking University invites paper submissions for the Global South Development Conference 2026. The meeting will take place on July 3–4, 2026, at Thaiwoo Ski Resort near Beijing. Thaiwoo Ski Resort, a 2.5-hour drive from Beijing Capital Airport, was developed to host the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. This event marks the tenth anniversary of ISSCAD and is dedicated to advancing frontier research in development studies.
The conference aims to establish a high-quality academic platform for research on economic development, with particular attention to the experiences, challenges, and transformations of countries in the Global South. We welcome submissions from the full breadth of development studies. Work based on low- and lower-middle-income countries is particularly encouraged.
Held jointly with the 10th CCER(China Center for Economic Research) Summer Institute at Peking University, the conference offers participants opportunities to interact with leading scholars across economics, management, and related fields.
