之后，NBA记者Keith Smith表示，消息源透露，凯尔特人在本次交易中使用了去年夏天送走克里斯塔普斯-波尔津吉斯获得的交易特例，他们用交易特例换得武切维奇，而这次送走安芬尼-西蒙斯又让凯尔特人得到了一个价值2760万美元的交易特例。
NBA记者Brett Siegel则表示，这份交易特例有效期1年，可用于他们继续追逐伊维察-祖巴茨等人的交易。
