当地时间1月28日，特斯拉首席执行官马斯克在财报会议上表示，特斯拉公司需要建造并运营他所称的“巨型芯片工厂Terafab”来生产半导体。“为消除三四年后可能出现的产能瓶颈，我们必须在美国本土建造一座包含逻辑芯片、存储芯片及封装工艺的超大型特斯拉TeraFab工厂，”马斯克说。
