1月23日消息，壳牌CEO魏思旺（Wael Sawan）表示，公司及其在尼日利亚的合作伙伴正探索在该国开发名为“Bonga South West”的大型油田项目，“如果我们与合作伙伴达成最终投资决定，该项目可能会吸引约200亿美元外国直接投资”。
