据路透社报道，葡萄牙Lifthium Energy公司获得一笔1.8亿欧元（约合2.1亿美元）的政府补贴，将在该国北部建设一座锂精炼厂，以满足快速增长的电动汽车电池市场需求。
拥有6万吨储量的葡萄牙是欧洲最大的锂生产国，主要供应陶瓷行业。直到最近，该国才开始寻求生产电池级锂。
该公司表示，这项不可退还的补贴是根据欧盟"临时危机与转型框架"（Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework）授予的，该框架允许国家激励措施加速绿色和工业转型。
