财联社1月18日电，当地时间16日傍晚，来自也门南部多地的民众聚集在亚丁的“展示广场”，参加由南方过渡委员会发起的集会活动。集会者高举标语，表达对南部未来政治安排的诉求，并反对解散南方过渡委员会。也门政府方面则现场部署了大量安保力量，秩序总体可控。
