仿古壶由清代邵大亨创制，顾景舟对邵大亨的制壶技艺极为推崇，他以邵大亨的仿鼓壶为范本进行临摹与改良，为表自谦，将自己的作品命名为 “仿古壶”。后世人为了区分叫做“景舟仿古壶”。
