新华社突尼斯1月12日电（记者周昊瑾）的黎波里消息：据利比亚媒体报道，利比亚北部城市苏尔特12日发生一起严重交通事故，造成10人死亡。
当地交通部门发表声明说，两辆中型乘用车迎面相撞后起火，造成两车内共10人死亡。
初步调查显示，事故原因可能是超速行驶及其中一辆车的司机疲劳驾驶。（完）
