1月8日，有网友爆料称，云南省昭通市昭阳区一温泉发生安全事故，12岁男孩王某风在昭通紫光世纪温泉泡澡时出现溺水事故，后抢救无效死亡。当地相关单位回应称，事故正在调查中，目前该温泉仍正常营业。
