北京时间1月5日，曼联宣布阿莫林下课，U18主教练弗莱彻将担任临时主教练。
《曼彻斯特晚报》跟队记者Simon Stone在社媒写道：“这赛季我看过一些弗莱彻执教球队的比赛。他采用四后卫阵型。”
弗莱彻出自曼联青训，他职业生涯共计为曼联出战342场，打入24球，助攻31次。
