Meanwhile, the rise of new tourism methods such as "micro-vacation" and "city stroll" has provided new market opportunities for cultural, commercial and tourism complexes within cities. China's urban renewal policy is shifting from "large-scale demolition and construction" to "organic renewal", emphasizing the protection of historical and cultural heritage, the rejuvenation of community vitality and the comprehensive improvement of functions. It explicitly proposes to promote the in-depth integration of culture and tourism and support the implantation of cultural and tourism functions in urban renewal.
