奥运冠军覃海洋从小练习自由泳专项起步，坦言因为练自由泳的苗子太多，竞争激烈，教练建议他尝试其他泳姿。在蝶泳、仰泳、蛙泳中，他选择了蛙泳，“当时也没有说特别有天赋，就是选了，然后练下来了。”
