12月19日，欧洲央行管委马迪斯·穆勒（Madis Muller）表示，现在判断借贷成本的下一步走势还为时过早。“可以想象两个方向的情况都有可能发生。如果欧元区经济表现不佳，通胀进一步放缓，那么或许有理由进一步降息。但也有可能想象相反的情况。”穆勒补充说，没有理由“匆忙上下调整利率”。
