清华大学苏世民书院代表团到访CCG

2025年12月12日，清华大学苏世民书院师生一行33人在国务院原参事、清华大学苏世民书院兼课教师、全球化智库 (CCG)副主任汤敏博士的带领下，到访CCG，开展实地调研学习并举办座谈会。此次来访的近30位苏世民学者来自美国、加拿大、英国、尼日利亚、加纳、越南、中国等国家，专业背景横跨绿色金融、法律、医学、商务和国际关系等多个领域。

On December 12, 2025, led by Dr. Tang Min—former Counselor of the State Council, teaching faculty at Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University, and Vice-President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), a delegation of 33 faculty members and students from the Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University visited the Secretariat of CCG. The visit included an on-site field study and a seminar. Nearly 30 Schwarzman Scholars participating in the visit came from countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Ghana, Vietnam, and China, with academic and professional backgrounds spanning a wide range of fields such as green finance, law, medicine, business, and international relations.

汤敏博士介绍了苏世民书院的理念、课程设置与培养成果,以及自己在苏世民书院开设的“中国社会发展创新的领导力实践”这门课程的情况。随后，通州区政府特聘专家林巍博士介绍了通州作为北京城市副中心的战略定位、区位优势、重点产业和对人才的开放包容政策。他鼓励来自不同国家的学者们发挥中外交流桥梁作用，推动院校、企业与产业的国际合作，同时探索在通州创新创业、投资发展、安居就业的可能性。通州区人才工作局局长孟志强、北京通发展人才科技有限公司副总经理程彩霞也出席座谈会。

Dr. Tang Min introduced the philosophy, curriculum structure, and educational outcomes of Schwarzman College, as well as his course “Leading the Social Innovation in China,” which he teaches at the college. Following this, Dr. Lin Wei, Tongzhou District Government’s Special Expert, introduced the strategic positioning of Tongzhou as Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, highlighting its geographical advantages, key industries, and open and inclusive talent policies. He encouraged scholars from different countries to serve as bridges for international exchange, promoting international cooperation among universities, enterprises, and industries, while also exploring opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship, investment and development, and long-term living and employment in Tongzhou. Meng Zhiqiang, Director of the Tongzhou District Talent Work Bureau, and Cheng Caixia, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Tongzhou Development Talent Technology Co., Ltd., also attended the seminar.

座谈会上，CCG研究员、国际传播总监王子辰向苏世民学者们介绍了CCG作为智库的功能特点、二轨外交实践，以及CCG在通过英文新闻信产品开展国际传播上的经验案例与趣事。AGTO外联部主任、"国际青年领袖对话（GYLD）"项目经理赵占杰进一步介绍了CCG联合国际资深专家共同成立的国际人才组织联合会（AGTO）的主要活动与阶段性成果，以及CCG于2020年发起成立的国际青年领袖对话（GYLD）项目的旗舰活动和国际青年社群。他主持了本次座谈会，并带领代表团参观了AGTO北京代表处，鼓励书院学者们踊跃为全球议题和全球人才流动的对话贡献青年力量。

During the seminar, Wang Zichen, Research Fellow and Director of International Communications at CCG, introduced Schwarzman Scholars to CCG’s role and distinctive features as a think tank, its practices in Track II diplomacy, as well as CCG’s experiences and interesting stories in conducting international outreach through its English newsletters. John Zhanjie Zhao, Director of External Relations at AGTO and Project Manager of the Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) program, further introduced the main initiatives and phased achievements of AGTO, which was jointly established by CCG together with senior international experts. He also presented the flagship activities and international youth networks of the GYLD program, launched by CCG in 2020. Serving as the moderator of the seminar, he also guided the delegation on a tour of the AGTO Beijing Representative Office, encouraging Schwarzman Scholars to actively contribute their youthful perspectives and energy to dialogues on global issues and international talent mobility.

在问答交流环节，苏世民书院的十余位学者踊跃提问、积极发言，就智库作用、国际人才流动趋势、青年就业与能力培养、国际传播内容等议题，与AGTO、CCG和通州区专家展开探讨，现场气氛十分热烈。数位苏世民学者也对AGTO的构架、计划、活动表示出强烈兴趣。

During the Q&A session, more than a dozen scholars from the Schwarzman College actively raised questions and shared their views. They engaged in lively discussions with experts from AGTO, CCG, and Tongzhou District on topics including the role of think tanks, trends in international talent mobility, employment and capacity building for young professionals, and international communication. The atmosphere was dynamic and highly interactive. Several Schwarzman scholars also expressed strong interest in AGTO’s organizational structure, programs, and activities.

Upholding the principle of “taking root in China and embracing the world,” Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University is a master’s program carefully designed to continuously enhance the global leadership capabilities of future world leaders. It is also the world’s first scholarship program established to address the geopolitical challenges of the 21st century. The backgrounds and experiences of admitted students demonstrate a high level of diversity, with the aim of cultivating future leaders who possess a deep understanding of Chinese culture and national conditions, a broad international perspective, outstanding overall qualities, and exceptional leadership potential, and who are committed to contributing their wisdom to the advancement of human civilization, as well as to world peace and development. The curriculum is structured around three core pillars—global affairs, China’s development, and leadership—covering key areas such as public policy, international relations, economics, and business. Beyond classroom instruction, scholars are also offered opportunities to gain in-depth insights into China through internships, industry mentorship, and academic lectures.

全球化智库（CCG）与清华大学苏世民书院有着多年的合作，并参与指导苏世民书院的学术项目。CCG多位高管和专家曾应邀访问书院，并为来自全球各地的苏世民学者开展专题讲座。全球化智库(CCG)发起的“国际青年领袖对话（Global Young Leaders Dialogue, GYLD）”项目也与书院保持多年密切互动。多位苏世民学者均是GYLD项目成员，曾深度参与GYLD年度论坛、主题沙龙等品牌活动。

The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) has maintained a long-standing partnership with Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University and has been involved in advising its academic programs. A number of CCG senior executives and experts have been invited to visit Schwarzman College and deliver thematic lectures to Schwarzman Scholars from around the world. The Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) initiative launched by CCG has also sustained close interaction with Schwarzman College over the years. Many Schwarzman Scholars are members of the GYLD community and have actively participated in its flagship activities, including the GYLD Annual Forum and thematic salons.
