格隆汇12月17日｜加拿大外交部长阿妮塔·阿南德16日重申，加拿大计划在格陵兰岛首府努克设立领事馆，以加强加拿大在北极地区的存在。阿南德曾计划11月为加拿大在努克开设领事馆事宜访问格陵兰岛，但因天气原因未能成行。本月16日，阿南德表示，北极地区事务是加拿大外交政策的优先项。
