听,童话书页在轻声翻动;看,欧陆风情在笔尖流淌。这个十一月,青浦协和校园变身成一座“没有围墙的欧洲文化体验馆”,孩子们以阅读为舟,以表达为桨,开启了一段充满欢笑、创意与成长的奇妙之旅。为期一个月的SUIS VOICE“欧洲嘉年华”虽已落幕,但那些闪光的瞬间依然令人回味。现在,就让我们一起重回现场,感受那份由阅读点燃的热情与自信!
Listen - the gentle rustle of fairy tale pages turning. Look - the charm of Europe flowing from children's pens. This November, the SUIS Qingpu campus transformed into an "Open European Cultural Experience Hall." With reading as their vessel and expression as their oars, students embarked on a joyful, creative, and transformative journey. Although the month-long SUIS VOICE "European Carnival" has come to an end, the sparkling moments continue to linger in our hearts. Let us return to the scene together and relive the passion and confidence ignited by reading!

“你猜,弗拉门戈舞裙为什么那样红?”“极光背后,真的住着精灵吗?”——这些充满想象力的问题,都来自孩子们在“欧洲嘉年华主题阅读月”中的探索与发现。在中外教老师们的精心策划下,一份份为不同年龄段孩子量身打造的“欧洲嘉年华主题书单”悄然诞生。老师们还齐聚一堂,共同研讨如何为孩子们设计为期一个月的丰富活动,从阅读引导到成果展示,每一个环节都凝聚着教育智慧与温暖关怀。
"Guess - why are flamenco dresses so red?"
"Are there really elves hiding behind the Northern Lights?"
These imaginative questions arose from students' explorations during the "European Carnival Reading Month." Under the collaborative planning of Chinese and international teachers, curated reading lists tailored to each age group were thoughtfully created. Teachers also worked together to design a month-long series of activities: from guided reading to final presentations, each step enriched with educational insights and supportive care.
在班级动员阶段,老师们热情鼓励孩子们报名参与,孩子们积极响应,踊跃报名,阅读热情高涨。每个年级都拿到了专属的“阅读任务卡”:低年级的孩子们在童话与地理中启蒙兴趣,中高年级的同学则深入欧洲历史、社会与文化,开展主题式阅读。小小阅读家们早已蓄势待发,迫不及待地想站上舞台,把心中的欧陆见闻分享给每一个人!
During the class kick-off sessions, teachers enthusiastically encouraged students to participate, and the responses were exceptional. Each year group received its own "reading mission card." The lower grades explored fairy tales and geography, while the upper grades delved into European history, society, and culture through themed reading. Our young readers were brimming with excitement, ready to step onto the stage and share their discoveries about Europe with everyone!

As the seeds of reading sprouted, the stage for expression lit up! Each classroom became a "European-themed salon." The atmosphere during auditions was lively and warm as young speakers took turns presenting their impressions of Europe in confident English.

Third graders became "culture explorers" as well as speakers, engaging in performances of songs and dances, creating illustrated city posters labelled in English, decoding culture through Q&A games, and singing European rhymes across a variety of expressive forms.

Fifth graders brimmed with creativity, drawing inspiration from four European countries. “Welcome to our European Fairy Tale Show!”—— 二年级决赛现场,7位小选手毫不怯场,用清晰口语讲述他们眼中的欧洲。从意大利艺术传说到北欧冰雪奇缘,从西班牙斗牛精神到德国城堡秘辛,童声中所传递的,是文化,更是自信。中场环节,一年级的“阅读小达人”惊喜登场,手捧最爱的绘本,迈出自信台步,上演“萌娃书香秀”。一、二年级的外教老师也联手助阵,以唱跳形式演绎欧洲地标,将气氛推向高潮!
“Welcome to our European Fairy Tale Show!” Seven second-graders stepped onto the stage with confidence, presenting everything from Italian art legends to Nordic winter tales, and from the spirit of Spanish bullfighting to the mysteries of German castles. Their voices carried not only stories but also courage. During the intermission, Grade 1 "Reading Stars" made a surprise appearance, gracing the stage with their favourite picture books in a delightful "Storybook Runway Show." Grade 1 and 2 international teachers enhanced the excitement with a lively performance featuring European landmarks.

经过三年历练,四年级的选手们已是“舞台常客”。他们从容不迫地分享卢浮宫的艺术珍藏、古堡背后的历史变迁,语言流畅、逻辑清晰,那份沉稳与底气,正是时间与阅读共同浇灌的成长见证。中场环节,外教团队倾情演绎经典剧《Robin Hood》,诙谐表演引发满堂欢笑;三年级的小歌手们也登台助阵,一首《Lemon Tree》轻快唱响,为决赛现场注入清新活力!
With three years of experience, the fourth-grade finalists spoke with poise, sharing insights about the treasures of the Louvre and the histories behind ancient castles. Their fluency and logical reasoning were a testament to how reading cultivates growth. During the intermission, the international team brought the classic drama of Robin Hood to life with humour and charm, while Grade 3 singers performed “Lemon Tree,” filling the hall with fresh, joyful energy.

这一次,我参加了SUIS VOICE的写作比赛。在查阅关于欧洲的资料时,一个灵感抓住了我,这或许是我独特创作的切入点:欧州有着那么丰富的美食,为什么我不把这些美味分享给大家呢?就这样我带着这个念头开始动笔。写作时,我将每一道菜分成"食材清单"和"制作步骤"两部分,就这样我设计了精致的菜肴。过程中,我不仅学会了几道欧洲菜的做法,更能体会到那些美食专家们"用无教次尝试调出惊艳味道"的专注。这次写作活动不仅提升了我的英文写作水平,还让我从中学到了美食家们的耐心以及巧思。
“I joined the SUIS VOICE writing competition. While researching Europe, I got a spark of inspiration: Europe has so many amazing foods - why not share them? So I wrote recipes with ingredients and steps. I learned European cooking and understood the patience and creativity of chefs. This experience improved my English writing and taught me the beauty of dedication.”

一开始不太了解这个活动,看完以后发现真的很值得,这些小朋友才二年级就能这么自信,真的太棒了!
