校队女篮走出个行业领袖！宁诺校友推动中国篮球发展，获英国杰出校友大奖提名

12月6日晚，“2026英国杰出校友大奖”中国区颁奖典礼如期举行，宁波诺丁汉大学校友、中国篮球赛事品牌路人王赛事总监金苑欣荣获“文化、创意与体育奖”提名。该奖项由英国大使馆文化教育处（英国文化协会）设立，旨在表彰世界各地留英校友作为商业人才、企业家和社会领袖在各自领域内取得的卓越成就。

从宁诺女篮队员到全国知名篮球赛事主理人，这位土生土长的宁波姑娘始终以拼搏的姿态不断突破边界，探寻着体育和人生的无限可能。目前，路人王青少年篮球赛已成为国内极具影响力的青少年草根篮球平台，全年举办超过600场比赛，吸引逾5万名选手参与，全网粉丝突破300万。

在校园，篮球少女追寻内心“火种”

2012年，金苑欣进入宁波诺丁汉大学攻读金融财务与管理专业，并入选学校女子篮球队。自此，她开启了一段始于校园的篮球篇章：从四次征战诺丁汉大学三校运动会，到赴英交换期间代表诺丁汉女篮二队参加英国高校联赛——这一系列贯穿本科、跨越国界的篮球之旅在锤炼意志力与团队精神的同时，更悄然在她内心埋下了一颗“火种”。

“其中，在英国的参赛经历给我留下了深刻印象。”金苑欣回忆道，“我感受到了专业、包容的体育文化氛围，并看到了如何通过精心筹备的赛事活动和积极向上的社区运营真正赋能运动员发展。因此，我立志将‘公平竞赛’和‘社区建设’的理念，带回中国的青少年体育建设中。”

随着将内心热爱转化为长期事业的想法愈发清晰，2017年，金苑欣选择在宁诺攻读创业与创新管理学硕士专业，系统性学习创业创新、商业策划、项目路演、企业管理等内容。

“无论是课堂内的知识还是球场上的奔跑，这些经历都为我后续的企业经营及大型赛事筹办奠定了至关重要的基础。”她总结道。

在球场，赛事总监点亮更多“星火”

2022年，金苑欣和团队创立了路人王青少年篮球赛，从零开始逐步将其打造成覆盖全国150余个城市的头部青少年篮球赛事，为不同背景的青少年提供展示自我的舞台。该项赛事创新型地融合了1对1、2对2等多种赛制，并通过数字化平台追踪和展示顶尖球员与教练榜单，以专业且富有创意的方式激励青少年参赛。

“最令我动容的是今年7月举行的路人王青少年篮球全国总决赛现场。这些草根出身的篮球少年凭借着场上的拼劲儿，为观众点燃了整个盛夏。”金苑欣表示，这场青春对决的直播观看人次突破450万，创下了国内青少年赛事单场直播数据的记录。

“决赛当天，从路人王赛事走出来的‘浙BA’明星球员柳杨杰也来到现场为他们呐喊助威。那一刻，这位斩获路人王赛事二十冠的‘草根传奇’将篮球精神传递给了更多的青少年。”她欣慰地说。

此外，作为一个女性从业者，金苑欣尤为关注那些在球场上的女孩，并推动了多名潜力女生球员的签约。她说：“每当看到她们，都会让我想起那个曾经在球场上同样奔跑的自己。我希望通过自己的力量，为更多中国女孩提供追寻篮球梦的机会。”

目前，金苑欣和团队正打造数百万级的数字化体育社区，推动赛事标准化运营，让更多青少年感受篮球文化的魅力。

“我的轨迹是宁诺的教育理念在国内新兴体育平台上的一次落地与实践。”金苑欣说，“通过为新一代篮球爱好者搭建优质的赛事平台，我希望能‘点燃’更多孩子的内心，助力他们找到自己的热爱。”

At the prestigious UK Alumni Awards China ceremony held on December 6, 2026, University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) alumna Jin Yuanxin, Tournament Director of China's leading street basketball brand King of Underdogs (KU), was shortlisted for the Culture, Creativity and Sport Award. Established by the British Council, the awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of international UK alumni as business professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.

Jin's journey from guard on the UNNC women's basketball team to the helm of a national sporting phenomenon reflects a relentless pursuit of possibility. Under her leadership, KU has become a transformative force in China's grassroots sport scene, organising more than 600 games annually for over 50,000 young participants and cultivating an online community of more than three million followers.

Her story began in 2012, when she enrolled at UNNC to study Finance, Accounting and Management. Joining the university's women's basketball team ignited a passion that would shape her future. Her commitment was evident in four consecutive appearances at the Tri-Campus Games and was further strengthened during a pivotal exchange year at the University of Nottingham in the UK.

"Competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league was a revelation," Jin recalls. "I was immersed in a professional and inclusive sporting culture. From try-outs to event management, everything was designed around the athlete's experience. That exposure to product thinking and continuous improvement shaped my core commitment to fair play and community-building —values I was determined to bring to youth sport in China."

This vision led her to pursue a Master's in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at UNNC in 2017, enabling her to systematically build the strategic toolkit to transform her passion into a platform. "Everything—from classroom theories to the rhythm of the court—became a crucial foundation for what was to come," she reflects.

In 2022, Jin and her team launched the KU Youth Basketball League from the ground up. It has since evolved into a leading youth basketball tournament spanning more than 150 Chinese cities. The league innovatively blends 1v1, 2v2, and 5v5 formats, supported by a digital mini-program to track and showcase top players and coaches, creating a professional, motivational ecosystem for young athletes.

As a female leader in sport, Jin is especially committed to empowering girls on the court, actively promoting the signing of promising young female players. "Seeing them reminds me of my younger self on that university court. I want to use my platform to ensure more Chinese girls have the chance to pursue their basketball dreams," she says.

By establishing a digital sport community and standardising event operations, Jin aims to inspire a lasting passion for basketball. "My mission is simple: to create platforms that guarantee fair play and unforgettable experiences, ensuring every child's passion meets opportunity," she concludes. "This journey is the practical application of the global mindset I nurtured at UNNC."
