Chinese astronomers just made a cosmic breakthrough! Using the incredible FAST radio telescope (the "China Sky Eye"), a team led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences discovered a rare intermediate-mass black hole snacking on stars. It's hiding in the Omega Centauri star cluster, about 17,500 light-years away. Weighing 8,000 times our Sun, this "goldilocks"-sized black hole is the perfect "missing link" to help solve the big mystery: how do supermassive black holes grow so big? This is a huge win for China's space science!
