传胪村长约640米的石墙上，至今仍有112株超过百年的古黄连木。古树主根深扎石墙，在地下延伸数十米；侧根穿透石缝，宛如天然绳索，将整座古堡牢牢固定。近500年过去了，传胪村古堡依旧是霞浦海岸保存最完整的村堡。
