With the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) charting China's course for the years ahead, this nationis entering a new phase of development. Convened in Beijing from October 20 to 23, this landmark session focused on the formulation of China's 15th Five-Year Plan, establishing a comprehensive policy framework to advance China's modernization over the next five years.
It was noted in the communique that we should promote high-standard opening up and create new horizons for mutually beneficial cooperation. The CPC also stated that we should continue to expand opening up at the institutional level, safeguard the multilateral trading system, and promote broader international economic flows.
Ian Chew, the founder of Greenie Web, a Singapore climate tech that creates low-carbon computer code, said in an interview with China Youth Daily that China's high-standard opening-up has facilitated his collaboration with Chinese companies.
Ian Chew said that China's visa-free policies and prominent international economic and trade events such as the China International Import Expo, have made a significant impact on him. These measures have made cross-border cooperation more efficient and enabled him to engage more directly with Chinese enterprises and research institutions.
