当地时间11月6日，美国中央情报局副局长迈克尔·埃利斯警告称，若联邦政府“停摆”持续，将对美国国家安全构成严重风险。
埃利斯在华盛顿举行的全国律师协会年会上表示，“停摆”已导致中情局部分关键行动面临经费困难，他称“‘停摆’时间越长，国家安全压力就会越大”。（央视新闻）
