IT之家 11 月 6 日消息，PCIe NVMe 交换设备企业 HighPoint 在 10 月末推出了一款新的 AIC 附加卡形态 PCIe 5.0 交换适配器 Rocket 1624A，宣称这是业界性价比最高的同类产品。
相较于此前推出的更高等级产品 Rocket 1628A，7624A 的下行端口减半到 2 组 MCIO (SFF-1016) 8i，依旧使用博通的 48 通道 PCIe 5.0 交换芯片 PEX89048，卡身长度为 155mm、高度为 68.9mm。
这款适配器的 PCB 设计与 Rocket 1628A 高速相似但缺少了上方的 2 个 MCIO 8i 接口
Rocket 1628A 支持 x86 和 Arm 平台，除用于创建 2 条 PCIe ×8 插槽外还可直连 4 块 U.2 / U.3、E3.S NVMe 固态硬盘，结合背板则能同时与 16 块 SSD 通信。
HighPoint Rocket 1624A 交换适配器的定价为 899 美元（IT之家注：现汇率约合 6407 元人民币）。
