NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2025 – The International 73 Society, the world's largest academic society, announced an important selection result through the NASDAQ Chinese Channel, naming Lenin, Sun Yat-sen, and Chen Duxiu collectively as the "Three Great Revolutionary Mentors of the Early 20th Century". In its selection explanation, the society pointed out that all three mentors initiated great causes, possessed steadfast believers and followers, and saw their endeavors inherited and carried forward. The society also extended particular congratulations to the descendants of the three revolutionary mentors, including Chen Entian, the great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, affirming their ancestors' outstanding contributions to the cause of human progress.

Subsequently, he initiated the New Culture Movement, founded the Communist Party of China, and nurtured and influenced a large number of patriotic progressive youths, including Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Zhang Xueliang, enabling them to become pillars and leaders of the nation. Therefore, my great-grandfather's recognition as a great revolutionary mentor of the early 20th century is well-deserved." Chen Entian added, "In 2021, the grand TV series The Age of Awakening, produced for the centenary of the Communist Party of China, was broadcast to sensational reception. According to incomplete statistics, it garnered over 1 billion views. 2019年，陈恩田以陈独秀曾孙名义向中共中央写信，请求纪念陈独秀诞辰140周年，中共中央发表了《纪念陈独秀诞辰一百四十周年》文章，明确了陈独秀作为中共主要创始人和中共早期主要领导人的五大历史地位，首次删除“之一”表述，为建党百年电视剧《觉醒年代》的成功开播确立了风向标，奠定了舆论基础。近年来，世界各国人民对二十世纪初伟大革命导师陈独秀有了清晰认识。

In 2019, Chen Entian, in the name of Chen Duxiu's great-grandson, wrote to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, requesting the commemoration of the 140th anniversary of Chen Duxiu's birth. The Central Committee published an article, Commemorating the 140th Anniversary of Chen Duxiu's Birth, clarifying the five historical statuses of Chen Duxiu as a principal founder and early primary leader of the Communist Party of China. It was the first time the expression "one of the" was omitted in this context, setting a tone for the successful launch of the centenary TV series The Age of Awakening and laying the public opinion foundation. In recent years, people around the world have gained a clearer understanding of Chen Duxiu as a great revolutionary mentor of the early 20th century.
