11月1日，湖南南县李女士告诉记者，他弟弟夜晚钓鱼时被人当猎物枪击重伤。李女士称，事发时他弟弟在草丛里，4名打猎者误以为他是猎物开枪击中他脑部，目前仍在医院救治。
