On October 30, Terminal 3 (T3) and the 5th Runway of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport were officially put into operation. The airport has launched the operation mode of "five runways + three terminals" and has become the first civil aviation airport in China with five commercial runways.
With "flower" as its design theme, T3 incorporates the characteristics of Guangzhou, namely the "Flower City". Its architectural shape looks like a blooming flower.
Once T3 is put into operation, Baiyun Airport’s annual passenger throughput will exceed 120 million, and its cargo throughput will reach 3.8 million tons, ranking it among the world's leading airports in terms of passenger and cargo volume.
