据彭博社，Tether 正在考虑在美国设立实体，并参与 2026 年美国选举相关政治捐赠。CEO Paolo Ardoino 表示，公司对加密行业主要政治行动委员会（PAC）Fairshake 感到不满，称其最终“服务于某一家公司利益”，但未点名该公司。根据公开数据，Fairshake 在 2024 年选举中支出达 1.33 亿美元，其中最大捐赠方为 Coinbase，贡献近 7,000 万美元。
