10月28日，特斯拉公司副总裁陶琳在微博发文称，目前上海超级工厂的屋顶已经铺满了光伏板，每年能发1100万度电，减碳4600吨；隔壁的上海储能超级工厂也在加装光伏板，预计一年能再多发600万度、减碳2500吨。
此外，她还透露，特斯拉的门店和超充站也在努力自己发电，比如上海康桥直营钣喷中心的屋顶，每年都能贡献40万度绿电，减少碳排放170吨。
