当地时间10月22日，美国联邦参议院特德·克鲁兹发表演说称，美国每年向以色列提供的30亿美元援助“非常划算”，因为美国由此获得了摩萨德的高级情报渠道。
克鲁兹表示，如果美国要自行建立类似的情报网络，成本将高达数百亿美元，因此这笔买卖“堪称超值”。
他强调，每位美国人都应感谢以色列“这个小小的国家”。
