9月29日下午，关岛以西洋面形成一个热带扰动，编号93W。

9月30日02时，热带扰动93W中心位于北纬13.7度，东经135.8度，中心附近最大风速15kt（约8米/秒），中心最低气压1009百帕。
预计，热带扰动93W将持续向偏西方向移动，强度缓慢增强，将加强为今年第21号台风，可能于国庆长假中期向我国南海和华南沿海一带靠近，需要密切关注。
