9月17日，16岁“小孩姐”陈妤颉迎来自己的田径世锦赛首秀，在女子200米预赛中跑出23秒26，无缘半决赛。赛后，“小孩姐”表示，要认清差距、继续提高，也自信地表示前路还长：“毕竟这是第一届（世锦赛），我比到第五届也才26岁，所以可能还会比到第六、第七届！”
她还说，今晚，自己的爸爸、妈妈，还有自己的猫，一定都在电视机前观看了她的比赛。
