日前，第三届深空探测国际会议圆满闭幕。会上，中国探月工程总设计师、深空探测实验室主任兼首席科学家吴伟仁透露，我国计划在不久的将来实施小行星动能撞击验证任务。这一消息标志着我国将成为继美国之后，全球第二个开展小行星动能撞击实战验证的国家，在深空探测领域的技术探索与实践迈出重要一步。
