据一家税收政策智库称，英国政府不应该取消对科技公司征收的数字服务税（DST），因为到本届议会结束时，这项税将产生高达52亿英镑（合70亿美元）的税收。
TaxWatch在周四的一份报告中表示，在国际上就数字税收达成共识的努力仍然陷入僵局之际，DST可能是英国向数字巨头征税的“事实上的主要解决方案”。
英国对全球收入超过5亿英镑、本地收入超过2500万英镑的科技公司征收2%的税收。
该税适用于英国社交媒体、搜索引擎或在线市场用户的收入。
