当地时间9月10日，古巴能源和矿业部表示，该国电力系统遭遇“全面断电”，全国陷入电力中断。
受美国制裁影响，长期以来，古巴难以进口燃料以及维修严重老化的发电厂设备，全国电力供应紧张。
2024年10月以来，因电力设施故障、飓风侵袭等原因，古巴曾4次全国范围大停电。
