8月31日，世锦赛男双半决赛：陈柏阳/刘毅2-1（21-19、18-21、21-12）战胜兰基雷迪/谢提，首次参加世锦赛即进决赛。国羽时隔14年打进世锦赛全部5个单项的决赛，上一次是2011年伦敦世锦赛。
决赛中，中国组合将对阵韩国组合金元浩/徐承宰，后者2-0淘汰了丹麦的阿斯特鲁普/拉斯姆森。
