财联社8月25日电，据央视新闻，当地时间24日，据多名知情人士透露，一名从危地马拉前往美国的马里兰州居民确诊感染螺旋蝇蛆病，该病例是美国本土发现的首例人感染螺旋蝇蛆病病例。据路透社报道，该患者有危地马拉旅行史，目前正在美国马里兰州接受治疗。
