Located next to the Santa Ana neighborhood in the historic center of Merida, Casa Amate 62 by Mex&Co Studio Design uses deep mineral blue as the background, weaving the geometric edge of Art Deco and the architectural wisdom of the Yucatan Peninsula into a flowing spatial movement. Designer Steisy Echeverría uses arches and grilles as narrative clues, making this 1,382 square meter boutique hotel a cultural station that carries the memory of travel and regional feelings in the dialogue between new and old buildings.

The swimming pool and massage pool in the center of the courtyard are embedded in the building texture like sapphires, becoming the visual axis for dividing the space. The shimmering water reflects the steel skylight and arched grilles, breaking the clouds in the sky and the lines of the building into a flowing light and shadow painting. The guest rooms on both sides of the swimming pool are arranged in a symmetrical posture, and the spiral staircase connecting the upper and lower floors stands like a sculpture. The metal handrails reflect the smart luster in the sun, guiding travelers to feel the rhythmic changes of the space while walking. In the early morning, the sun shines on the water through the steel-framed glass windows, and the rattan lounge chairs by the swimming pool become an excellent corner for reading; at dusk, the underwater lights are lit up one after another, and this place becomes a romantic background for cocktail parties, allowing the laughter of travelers to spread with the ripples.

庭院中央的泳池与按摩池如蓝宝石般镶嵌在建筑肌理中，成为划分空间的视觉轴心。波光粼粼的水面倒映着钢构天窗与拱型格栅，将天空的流云与建筑的线条揉碎成流动的光影画卷。泳池两侧的客房组团以对称姿态展开，而连接上下层的螺旋楼梯则如雕塑般矗立其间，金属扶手在阳光下折射出灵动光泽，引导旅人在行走中感受空间的韵律变化。清晨，阳光透过钢框玻璃窗洒在水面，泳池边的藤编躺椅便成了阅读的绝佳角落；暮色时分，水下灯光次第亮起，这里又化作鸡尾酒会的浪漫背景，让旅人的欢声笑语随涟漪一同扩散。

The mineral blue chukum plaster walls are the most distinctive identity mark of Casa Amate 62. This traditional paint with a rough texture forms a gentle dialogue with the pink of the sister building No. 61, and together they interpret the diverse character of Mexican colors. The custom arched grilles on the facade continue the geometric aesthetics of Art Deco. The hollow lines cast shadows on the wall that move with the sunlight, like a diary written by the building in time. The coldness of the polished concrete floor and the warmth of the wooden doors and windows form a material contrast. The steel-framed glass windows frame the courtyard view with neat lines, allowing the light and shadow and greenery inside and outside to flow freely. When your fingertips run across the granular texture of the chukum wall, it seems as if you can touch the soil memory of the Yucatan Peninsula, and the wind leaking through the grilles carries the fragrance of grass and trees, injecting the breath of the region into every breath.

矿物蓝的 chukum 灰泥墙面是 Casa Amate 62 最鲜明的身份印记，这种带着粗糙质感的传统涂料与 61 号姐妹楼的粉色形成温柔对话，共同诠释着墨西哥色彩的多元性格。立面的定制拱型格栅延续了 Art Deco 的几何美学，镂空的线条在墙面投下随日光移动的阴影，如同建筑在时光中写下的日记。抛光混凝土地面的冷冽与木质门窗的温润形成材质反差，钢框玻璃窗则以利落的线条框住庭院景致，让室内外的光影与绿意自由流通。当指尖划过 chukum 墙面的颗粒感，仿佛能触摸到尤卡坦半岛的泥土记忆，而格栅间漏下的风带着草木清香，将地域的气息注入每一次呼吸。

The two-story structure and rooftop space of the building form a progressive experience sequence. The TAMEA lobby on the first floor retains the soul of the original building. When the custom metal and wood door is pushed open, you can smell the wheat aroma from the artisan bakery next door. The balcony seats allow guests to enjoy the street and courtyard scenery while tasting freshly baked pastries. The small outdoor swimming pool on the second floor is connected to the indoor bar through a steel frame window. The moist water vapor and the fragrance of cocktails blend here. The game room and mini cinema provide travelers with a warm harbor for entertainment on rainy days. The rooftop terrace is a secret place to get close to the starry sky. Yoga mats are laid on the slightly cool ground. The evening breeze blows past your ears, making the meditation of the wellness workshop more peaceful under the city skyline. Each space carries a specific life scene, but through the flowing movement lines and coherent material language, the tranquility of solitude and the excitement of gathering can find a proper place.

建筑的两层结构与屋顶空间构成了递进式的体验序列。一层的 TAMEA 前厅保留着原有建筑的魂魄，定制金属与木质结合的门扉推开时，便能闻到隔壁 artisan 面包房飘来的麦香，阳台座位让客人在品尝刚出炉的糕点时，将街景与庭院风光尽收眼底。二层的小型室外泳池通过钢框窗与室内酒吧相连，湿润的水汽与鸡尾酒的芬芳在此交融，游戏室与迷你影院则为旅人提供了雨天消遣的温暖港湾。屋顶露台是亲近星空的秘境，瑜伽垫铺在微凉的地面上，晚风拂过耳畔，让 wellness workshop 的冥想在城市天际线下更显宁静。每一个空间都承载着特定的生活场景，却又通过流动的动线与连贯的材质语言，让独处的静谧与欢聚的热闹都能找到恰当的安放之处。

From the sparkling water of the swimming pool to the rough texture of the blue wall, from the winding lines of the spiral staircase to the wide view of the roof terrace, the design of Casa Amate 62 always seeks a balance between the exquisiteness of Art Deco and the simplicity of regional culture. Steisy Echeverría puts his love for Mexican traditions and his insight into the needs of modern travellers into every material selection and space layout, making this hotel not only a place to rest, but also a cultural container that can be touched, felt and remembered - here, every light and shadow, every texture is a gentle love letter from Merida to the world.
