北京时间8月10日，日本国家队历史射手王釜本邦茂在大阪府一家医院离世，享年81岁。
釜本邦茂出生于1944年4月15日，他曾代表日本参加过1964年东京奥运会与1968年墨西哥奥运会，在1968年奥运会上，他夺得了奥运会足球赛事最佳射手，帮助日本队拿到了铜牌。
釜本邦茂代表日本国家队在A级比赛中打进75球，是日本国家队队史射手王。
