当地时间7日，葡萄牙内政部长阿马拉尔宣布，由于高温天气持续，山林火灾风险极高，葡萄牙政府决定将警戒状态延长至13日。葡萄牙政府同时警告称，未来数日内预计高温天气将持续。
由于极为严重的高温天气加剧了一些地区的山火风险，葡萄牙自8月3日0时起进入警戒状态，原计划持续至7日。
