8月5日，华特迪士尼旗下子公司ESPN与美国国家橄榄球联盟（NFL）宣布达成一项无约束力的协议。根据该协议，ESPN将收购包括NFL电视网、红区频道（RedZone Channel）、NFL Fantasy等在内的NFL旗下媒体资产，作为交换条件，NFL将获得ESPN 10%的股权。此外，ESPN公司表示，双方还签署了第二项无约束力协议，即NFL将向ESPN授权特定赛事内容及其他知识产权，供NFL电视网等收购资产使用。
