中国队决赛由季新杰、潘展乐、汪顺、张展硕组成。随着中国队在该项目夺得银牌，潘展乐也收获了本届世锦赛的首枚奖牌。
本届世锦赛，潘展乐在个人项目上发挥不佳，在男子100米自由泳和男子200米自由泳中都无缘决赛。
