北京时间2025年7月30日，湖北省松滋市人民法院公开宣判中国足球协会纪律委员会原主任王小平受贿案，以受贿罪判处被告人王小平有期徒刑十年六个月，并处罚金人民币七十万元；对被告人王小平受贿所得财物及孳息依法予以追缴，上缴国库。
据财新网消息，在7月30日一审判决同日，王小平亲属向财新证实，王小平不服，将上诉，其律师将继续做无罪辩护。
