报道称，埃弗顿对前阿森纳中场梅特兰-奈尔斯感兴趣。
埃弗顿主帅莫耶斯看好这位27岁球员，梅特兰-奈尔斯上赛季为里昂出场43次，莫耶斯认为他的英超经验对埃弗顿今夏重建至关重要。
梅特兰-奈尔斯上赛季在右后卫位置直接参与了8球(1球7助)，他也能胜任中场位置。
他目前的合同还有两年，愿意回归英超，但也有来自欧洲俱乐部的兴趣，加拉塔萨雷就是其中之一。
